Harvest Frolic 2019
Celebrate the Arrival of Autumn at the Harvest Frolic!
September 28 and 29, 2019- 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Returning this year- the Frolic 5K and Walk! This year "President Lincoln" will be running with you! Saturday at 7:30 am

The event is free and open to the public. Don’t miss experiencing 19th-century life on the farm! Activities will take place at both the Lincoln and Sargent farms and will include children's games, crafts, and hearth cooking. Visitors are encouraged to take part in period games and activities. A number of artisans will be on site demonstrating their crafts including, spinning, embroidery, pottery, tinsmithing, blacksmithing, broommaking, dulcimer making, millinery, chair caning, wet felting, and much more. Special presentations will include performances from the Unreconstructed String Band, nature walks and storytelling with Brian “Fox” Ellis on Sunday, Grand Camera Obscura demonstration by Jon Stealey, a magic show on Saturday, 19th-century street performing with the Clockwork Clown and dulcimer playing and storytelling with Mike Anderson. Historic cricket playing will take place on Sunday only. A pop-up farmers market at the front of the park will feature Four Little Pumpkins Farm. Food vendors on site.

The Unreconstructed String Band on the Sargent Farm, the Orizaba Band on the Lincoln Farm, and the Dulicmer Players in the Sargent House will be playing throughout the day. Historic Cricket demonstrations with Tom Melville will take place all day on the Lincoln Farm. Mr. Lincoln will be greeting visitors throughout the site all day. Weather permitting winter wheat planting on the Sargent Farm throughout the day.
