Inaugural Farm and Garden Tour 2017

Tour local farms and gardens to learn about locally grown food, garden tips, and opportunities to engage in local gardening.

A farm-to-table lifestyle has always been a part of rural life, and the Lincoln Log Cabin Foundation wants to shine a spotlight on those carrying on that tradition. Register for the tour for $5.00 and receive a brochure with gardening tips, recipes, and information about each of the tour stops. You can register online or email, or call 217-345-1845. Registration online will provide an online payment option, or checks can be mailed to Lincoln Log Cabin Foundation, 402 South Lincoln Highway Road, Lerna, IL 62440. Or you can pick up a brochure at your first stop and pay the $5 when you arrive at Lincoln Log Cabin.

Saturday, June 24, 2017- 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Guided tours start at the top of each hour with the exception of First Fruits Homestead and Five Feline Farm, which will start touring at noon. You can tour the locations in any order. Each location will have brochures so that you can pick up your brochure at your first stop.

Note: At 3:00 pm at the First Fruits Homestead all are invited to a public ceremony announcing the partnership of the Homestead with Faith in Place, an Illinois nonprofit helping people of faith become leaders in Earth care.
